Improved Routing and Fresh Culinary Highlights
In 2020, FISCH & ANGEL will take place from 28 January to 2 February. Co-located for the seventh time with JAGD & HUND, Europe’s largest hunting exhibition, FISCH & ANGEL will offer much fishing information worth knowing and suitable products and innovations for beginners and experts. Visitors can exchange information and be active themselves in two halls and the passageway of the Dortmund Exhibition Centre. The new North Entrance of the Dortmund Exhibition Centre will provide improved access to the individual halls at next year’s exhibition. Visitors to FISCH & ANGEL also benefit at no extra charge from the culinary exhibition highlight, i.e. the WILD FOOD FESTIVAL, in the Westfalenhalle event arena. Tickets for the exhibition are available at fischundangel.de.
A high-quality forum programme with renowned speakers from the angling scene, stage shows and cooking workshops attracted an enormous number of visitors to FISCH & ANGEL in 2019. Besides classic fish delicacies in the FISCH & ANGEL exhibition halls, visitors could also taste for the first time the culinary delights of the co-located WILD FOOD FESTIVAL in the Westfalenhalle event arena. Exhibitors and associations were delighted: “We regard the new WILD FOOD FESTIVAL as being a very good innovation because it offers hunters and anglers a platform where they can offer fresh food from nature,” said the Fishing Association’s President, Johannes Nüsse.
In 2020, fans of good food will again find fresh products and ingredients, creative recipe ideas and culinary titbits and an exciting stage programme about the “Wild Game Cuisine” with TV-celebrity, star-rated and top-class chefs like Sebastian Lege and Tarik Rose. A special highlight this year: Fish preparation is literally given a large stage because the WILD FOOD FESTIVAL will present both the “Surf & Turf” topic in several workshops and demonstrations and the gentle and respectful cooking of fish as a high-quality food in “Game Meat on Fish”. The current programme can be found at wildfoodfestival.de.
New Entrance: Quickly and Easily to Your Favourite Stand
As of 2020, both visitors and exhibitors at FISCH & ANGEL will benefit from the new entrance portal of the Dortmund Exhibition Centre. The ultra-modern glass structure will welcome them in a friendly, light-flooded ambience. The spacious design of the entrance portal also results in an improved admission situation that prevents long queuing times. A new visitor passageway optimally connects the exhibition halls. That allows visitors convenient, quick, easy and direct access to their favourite stands and programme items. This “Fast Lane” also ensures quick access to the culinary highlights and tasty titbits of the WILD FOOD FESTIVAL 2020.
Offer for All Ages
Both experts and angling hobbyists will get their money’s worth again when visiting FISCH & ANGEL 2020. Numerous exhibitors will showcase their large and current range of products and services covering popular topics like angling accessories, angling equipment and angling clothing. Visitors can find out about which exhibitors they can look forward to at: fischundangel.de/messe/ausstellerverzeichnis.
To increase the catch success in freshwater and seawater, visitors can get tips and tricks from experts for their next fishing trip and try them out on site in a comprehensive accompanying programme. Visitors will be able to meet angling professionals, like Torsten Ahrens, Horst Hennings, Jörg Strehlow and Danny Hrubesch, at various lectures in the newly-designed Sea Angling Forum. Exclusive insights into angling practice in freshwater will be given by experts, like Uli Beyer, Veit Wilde, Michael Kahlstadt, Benedikt Götzfried and Birger Domeyer, in the Fishing Forum. Visitors can find out everything about the art of baiting in practice at the live demonstrations in the still-water biotope area, and fly-casters will show the ideal casting techniques with the rod at the new twenty metre large casting basin. Trying it yourself is expressly desired! The same applies to the popular Casting for Everyone highlight and in the rod construction and fly-tying areas.
The young are also addressed. The stand of the Fishing Association of North Rhine Westphalia will showcase large aquariums where domestic fish, crayfish and other aquatic animals can be observed. The Youth Section of the Fishing Association of North Rhine Westphalia will offer small workshops specifically for school classes and youth groups at the exhibition within the scope of the ‘FIN – The Fish World in North Rhine Westphalia’ project.
No angling topic is missed out at FISCH & ANGEL.
